COP31 is the 31st Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC and will be hosted by Türkiye in Antalya from 9 to 20 November 2026. COP is the world’s foremost multilateral platform for global climate governance; it is where climate targets are negotiated, commitments are strengthened and collective action is advanced. Building on the foundations of previous COPs — in particular COP30 in Belém — COP31 aims to advance dialogue, strengthen consensus and accelerate implementation.

All States that are Parties to the Convention are represented at COP. At their annual sessions, the Parties review the implementation of the Convention and any related legal instruments, assess global progress and take the decisions necessary to promote an effective and coordinated response to climate change.

Below are events at COP31 that are co-hosted by ABFC. This webpage will be updated as more events are added. Events are listed in chronological order.

Axis 2 Showcase — Placing Nature at the Heart of Climate Action

  • 17-Nov – 9:00-13:00
  • Special Event Room 4
  • The Axis 2 Showcase event will serve as a platform to demonstrate tangible progress and real-world impact made across the Global Climate Action Agenda’s Axis 2 at COP31. Rather than focusing on commitments and challenges, the event will aim to showcase what is being delivered on the ground, results achieved and what can be replicated and scaled up. The event will bring together the initiatives and actors driving the delivery of the three Axis 2 objectives – investments to halt and reverse deforestation and forest degradation ; conserving, protecting and restoring nature and ecosystems with solutions for climate, biodiversity and desertification ; and preserving and restoring oceans and coastal ecosystems. Through concrete examples, results and success stories, it will showcase progress made since COP30 in Belém, drawing on projects and initiatives that advance climate mitigation, adaptation, and resilience, and that deliver wider benefits for people and nature. Evidence will include finance mobilised, areas conserved or restored, country and community engagement and more – showing how action on the ground is translating into tangible outcomes.
