Date
16 June 2025 - 26 July 2025
Time
00:00 to 23:59
Location

June 16 July 26 BST

Building on the many mandates that emerged, and progress achieved, at COP29 last year, the SB62 aims to drive forward progress on key issues and prepare decisions for adoption at the upcoming COP30 UN Climate Change Conference in Belém, Brazil.

The meeting focused on critical issues such as climate finance, advancing progress on the next round of national climate action plans (or Nationally Determined Contributions, NDCs), the timely submission of countries’ first Biennial Transparency Reports, work on National Adaptation Plans, and accelerating climate action through a just transition, among many other important issues.

The Aquatic Blue Food Coalition at SB62

The Coalition is co-organizing with WorldFish, European Bureau for Conservation and Development (EBCD), Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Environmental Defense Fund (EDF), and Stanford Center for Ocean Solutions, an event titled “NDC 3.0 transition and implementation: Harnessing aquatic foods for a climate-resilient future”.

The event will be held on June 21, from 15:00-16:15 in the Kaminzimmer room.

This event will showcase country experiences in integrating aquatic foods into NDCs 3.0 and sectoral NAPs. Charting a course from the UN Ocean Conference to COP30, speakers will share priorities, implementation needs, and opportunities for convergence across climate, food, and ocean agendas.
